Clients' Stories Christopher Shen Consulting has worked with a wide range of Australian organisations since 2004. We have provided solutions to private and public organisations including:
Case Study – Toorak College
Toorak College is an Independent Day and Boarding School for Girls Years 7 to 12 and Co-educational Pre School to Year 6. Toorak College is committed to providing a supportive and stimulating environment in which all students are able to fully develop their personal, social and academic potential. Since 2008, Christopher has been delighted to address the students in “Inspirational and Passionate High Performance” workshops to help the students to reach and maintain the best results for their school studies, and in life. The high performance workshop provided by Christopher Shen has greatly assisted Year 10 students in setting effective goals in order to fulfil their true VCE potential. Case Study – Monash University The Schools Access Monash (SAM) program at Monash University provides a range of activities for a select number of schools to increase students’ awareness of universities and courses available and to help students reach their academic potential. This program targets schools with significant numbers of students from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds and low rates of progression to tertiary study. As a Monash Graduate, Christopher Shen is delighted to contribute to the SAM program since 2007. He delivers interactive, fun, and activity based presentations on the topic: "Inspirational and Passionate High Performance." He shares his principles, life lessons and tips for the students to reach and maintain the best results for their school studies, and in life. Monash expects that Christopher’s involvement in the SAM program will assist to change the culture in the ten participating schools and provide motivation and encouragement to the students to help them realise their full potential. Case Study - Industrial Relations Victoria Industrial Relations Victoria (IRV), a division of the State Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development, had recently added a large group of programs and teams from another department to its portfolio. IRV management wanted to build an inclusive and positive culture around the new structure as quickly as possible by engaging everyone in strategic conversations about the new organisation. Christopher Shen Consulting was able to facilitate by assisting in the development of a Team Engagement and Business Planning Day. Key goals for the day included identifying new opportunities for and synergies for the expanded IRV, the mission of key leadership groups in the division and the type of culture that would help the groups achieve their goals. Particularly useful was the conducting of a Leadership Panel. Through a facilitator-led discussion, leaders across the division were asked questions about risk, direction and values by staff. This provided opportunities for positive examination of issues that often remain unspoken or ignored, but which are powerful in developing team performance. Case Study - World Vision Australia ![]() ![]() World Vision is Australia’s largest overseas aid and humanitarian organisation. As well as providing relief in emergency situations, World Vision works on long-term development projects with local communities to address the causes of poverty and help them become self-sufficient. Case Study - Sport Education Victoria ![]() Sport Education Victoria supports Victorian State Sporting Associations and Victorian based National Sporting Organisations in the development and delivery of quality coaching, official and administrator education. Sport Education Victoria achieves this by providing assistance to sporting organisations in developing and implementing short and long term education program strategies, in line with national policies.
